MISPERO

I once ate something called a “Mispero” when I was young. It was sweet, orange and had large seeds. Once I had moved away from California, I never saw it again.
I have researched many fruits and have not found my “Mispero”. Perhaphs one day I will find it but for now I’ll just wait and live. I once heard that one shouldn’t look for things but should wait for the things to come to them. When I first heard this It made me think of the Ice cream man that came every weekend. Now though that I am a man I realize that what my older sister was trying to explain was the flow of things.
In one’s life their’s a certain flow at a certain time. Most people recognize this in order to have some sort of assumption of the future. But, maybe I’m wrong, maybe people don’t recognize their flow and get swept up. Yeah, that’s it, that seems truer.

ONE DAY I WAS WALKING IN ITALY THE YEAR IS 2016. I’M SITTING IN A TRAIN STATION LOOKING AT THE SCHEDULES. MY GIRLFRIEND IS IN THE BATHROOM. THE DAY IS GREY, THE PEOPLE AROUND ME ARE GREY, EVEN THE LAUGHTER OF A WOMAN IN STILLETOS SEEMS GREY. SLOWLY LIKE THE RAIN I REALIZE SOMEONE IS SAYING SOMETHING. IT’S A MAN. HE IS FAR AWAY SO I CAN’T HEAR HIM CLEARLY. THE WISPING CROWD IS AROUND ME.
A FAT MAN WITH A SMALL WHITE HAT AND A SMALL WHITE MUSTACHE IS CALLING. AROUND HIS NECK IS A STRAP THAT HOLDS A BASKET OF SOMETHING.

GET YOUR MISPEROS!! HE SAYS IN ITALIAN.
